Planning Issues
East Wittering and Bracklesham Neighbourhood Plan Group has set up an e-petition (http://ewbnp.epetitions.net/) with regard to the Wates Proposal to request the Local Plan figures for East Wittering and Bracklesham be increased from 100 to 500 (yes that is correct 500) new properties. The Local Plan Inspector will be reviewing this matter on 6th November. The District Council considered that 100 properties during the life time of the plan would not adversely affect the quality of life of the residents in the area. All the parish council’s have joined together to fight these proposals in addition to the planning appeal for 160 properties in Clappers Lane. Please note that Wates have submitted a further planning application which they have recently reduced from 140 to 110 properties on the same site as the appeal site even though they have give a different site name – please take the time to review this application and submit your comments to the District Council https://publicaccess.chichester.gov.uk/online-applications/caseDetails.do?action=dispatch&keyVal=N6CCZCEROY000&caseType=Application
