Parish Objectives – We need your help please complete the questionaire

In order for the Parish to set its five year objectives we now need your help. Please could we ask you to complete the attached form and return it to us as soon as possible. As far as possible the information will be used to influence our decision making and could also be used to influence Chichester District Council and West Sussex County Council with their decision making. Individual information, such as email address, will be kept private and only used for Parish business if you have agreed.

 

At the Earnley Parish Council Annual meeting in May 2014 a proposal was made, and a vote taken to agree that Earnley Parish work towards Parish Objectives over a five year term. This proposal was made as an alternative to a more costly and time consuming in depth plan. Larger Parishes in the area may have decided to produce a Neighbourhood Plan or a Community Led Plan but Earnley felt that Parish objectives were more appropriate for the size of the Parish.

 

Following on from the Annual Parish meeting and a discussion with Chichester District Council, and West Sussex County Council, information was gathered from a sample of residents to establish what they thought about the Parish and if they had any concerns they wished to raise or any positive comments they wished to make about the Parish. The information we collected has now been used to create the attached questionnaire.

 

The five year plan will then be based on your ideas and concerns. The Parish Objectives will be ongoing, reviewed regularly and added to if necessary over this period of time.

 

Earnley Parish Council would welcome more residents being involved in the Parish and developing a stronger “community spirit “. Earnley Parish Council values your ideas and suggestions. We ultimately would like to develop a system whereby we have a number of “link “ people for each part of the Parish. This would enable us to liaise with residents quickly and effectively and understand local issues in greater depth.
