Saturday 11 February, Wildlife Photography Workshop. This all-day practical workshop gives an introduction to basic techniques for wildlife photography, combining theory with opportunities to practice what you learn on our beautiful reserve. Includes basic post processing.

8.30am (duration 8 hours) Booking essential £18 per person / £14 members

Sunday 19 February, Discover Pagham Harbour (north) Guided Walk. Starting from the Visitor Centre, our guides will take you on a gentle winters walk along the ‘tramway’, up to Sidlesham Quay and around the north side of the reserve. This 3 mile walk combines wildlife and the Harbours historic past, while looking out for winter migrants before they start to leave us as spring approaches.

10am (duration 3 hours) Booking essential £7 per person / £4 members

Tuesday 16 February, Wild Families Give Nature a Home. With spring around the corner, birds and insects are starting to look for a place to nest and make a home. Join us in building nest boxes to take home and encourage the birds to take up residence in your garden.

11am – 2pm Drop-in  £8 to create a nest box

Sunday 26 February, Someone to Guide You. Unsure of what that bird is? Our friendly guides will be at the Ferry Pool Hide, Pagham Harbour to help you spot and identify the wildlife that you see.

Sunday 26 February, Artists Wildlife Painting Workshop. This all-day workshop gives an introduction to basic techniques of watercolour painting combining a little theory with a lot of practical application and advice. Although the subjects will be wildlife based, the principles can be applied in a wider context to extend your interest. The session is aimed at beginners and those returning to an old hobby after work.

Good quality paints, paper and brushes will be supplied, just bring your enthusiasm.

Sunday 19 March, Someone to Guide You. Unsure of what that bird is? Our friendly guides will be at the Church Norton Hide, Pagham Harbour to help you spot and identify the wildlife that you see.

11am – 2pm Drop-in Free

Sunday 26 March, Discover Medmerry (West) Guided Walk. Join our guides for our first spring walk of the year round the west side of Medmerry. Keeping an eye out for late winter leavers and early summer arrivals, this 4 mile walk combines birds and wildlife, with Medmerry’s history and its creation into the reserve you see today.

10am (duration 3½ hours), meet at Earnley car park PO20 7JL at 9.50am.  Booking essential £7 per person / £4 members

Friday 31 March, Astronomy Night. An evening in the company of Ian Sharp – one of the UK’s leading amateur astronomers, and the BBC The Sky at Night’s Pete Lawrence. Learn to recognise Spring constellations, understand the Cosmos and how we fit in and view deep space objects through quality telescopes. 9pm (duration 3 hours)
